Auburn Rotary, Hibernians conducting Ukraine drive, Yates County Sheriff’s Department donating used gear

The Auburn Rotary Club and the Ancient Order of Hibernians are conducting a Ukrainian relief drive Saturday morning.


The drive-through donation event is from 10 to noon at Auburn High School. Volunteers will collect medical supplies and financial donations. No clothing will be accepted at this drive. They’re looking for Aspirin, Tylenol, Motrin, Naproxen, bandages of all sizes, antiseptic ointments,  medical gloves, wound pads, first aid kits, medical tape. diapers all sizes, powdered baby formula, baby powder, toothpaste, tooth brushes, sterile hand wash packs, 8 hour glow sticks, nutrition bars, snacks, sleeping bags, warm socks and down-filled jackets.

Checks can be made payable to SS Peter & Paul Church, 135 Washington St, Auburn NY 13021.

Meanwhile, Yates County Administrator Nonie Flynn says Sheriff Ron Spike has gathered surplus equipment that will be sent to the NY State Sheriff’s Association for distribution to the Ukrainian military.


Law enforcement agencies across America are taking part in similar efforts.
