The Rochester Red Wings rolled past the Buffalo Bisons, 8-1, in the series finale on Sunday afternoon at Frontier Field.
Rochester dropped the first two games of the six-game series, but won three of the last four games to earn a series split.
The Red Wings scored all eight of their runs in the first two innings.
Cullen Large opened the scoring for Buffalo in the first with a RBI single to center. In the bottom half of the inning, Luis Garcia tied the game with a RBI triple to right. One batter later, Garcia scored on a throwing error to put Rochester on top, 2-1.
Matt Lipka started the Red Wings six-run second with a bases-loaded walk. Later in the inning, Garcia drove in two more runs with a double to right to make it 5-1. Josh Palacios capped off the inning with a three-run shot to right, which was his second home run in as many days.
Aaron Sanchez started for Rochester and shined as he allowed just one run on seven hits over six innings while striking out two and walking two.
The Red Wings bullpen was very good. Alberto Baldonado, Sam Clay and Carl Edwards Jr. each tossed a scoreless inning in relief.
Rochester will get the day off Monday before they begin a six-game series with the Lehigh Valley IronPigs on Tuesday night. First pitch is scheduled f0r 7:05 p.m.
