The Syracuse Crunch scored the first three goals of the game and never looked back as they rolled past the Toronto Marlies, 5-1, on Saturday night at the Upstate Medical University Arena.
Charles Hudon recorded a hat trick while Nick Perbix and Daniel Walcott also netted goals. Max Lagace turned aside 25-of-26 shots to earn the win.
Mikhail Abramov, Mac Hollowell and Richard Clune found the back of the net for Toronto while Michael Hutchinson and Keith Petruzzelli combined for 26 saves.
Syracuse finished 1-for-3 on the power play and a perfect 4-for-4 on the penalty kill.
The Crunch will be back in action next Friday when they host the Belleville Senators at 7 p.m.
