Geneva woman arrested for welfare fraud

Police say a Geneva woman was arrested following a fraud investigation.

According to a news release, the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office arrested Bianca O. Rodriguez-Fuentes, 27, of Geneva for welfare fraud and offering a false instrument for filing.

It is alleged that Rodriguez-Fuentes received over $1000.00 in SNAP benefits from November 2021 to March 2022 because of her failure to report her household income truthfully. It is also alleged that she filed false instruments with Social Services in June 2021 and November 2021 relating to her employment.

She was issued an appearance ticket and is due back at the Hopewell Town Court to answer charges.
