What is the Supplemental Security Income program?

Supplemental Security Income (SSI) is a program that sends out monthly payments to eligible people. If you already get SSDI or retirement benefits, you may be eligible to claim SSI too. Read more about it here.

SSI payments are not taxable. They are not considered a part of Earned Income Tax Credit (EIC).
