James Karcz was approved as Waterloo High School’s new assistant principal earlier this month.
The school board voted unanimously to appoint Karcz to a four-year probationary employment period beginning May 5, 2022 and ending on May 4, 2026, according to Finger Lakes Times. Karcz will receive a salary of $79,000.
Karcz assumed office following former Assistant Principal Thomas Mitchell’s resignation earlier this year.
If Karcz receives a performance review with an ‘effective’ or ‘highly effective’ rating in three out of four years of probationary appointment, he would be eligible for tenure.
