Sabres roll past Maple Leafs, 5-2

The Buffalo Sabres snapped a three-game skid on Tuesday night with a 5-2 road win over the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Buffalo scored three of their five goals in the third period.

Kyle Okposo, Tage Thompson, Jeff Skinner, Rasmus Dahlin and Rasmus Asplund scored while Craig Anderson turned aside 24-of-26 shots.


Timothy Liljegren and Alexander Kerfoot found the back of the net for Toronto. Erik Kallgren stopped 23-of-27 shots in the loss.

Buffalo finished 2-for-4 on the power play and a perfect 5-for-5 on the penalty kill.

The Sabres will head back home to face the St. Louis Blues on Thursday at 7 p.m.
