A 35-year-old Geneva man has been arrested after a stabbing in the town of Phelps on March 25.
According to a news release Lester Valentin Rivera, 35, of Geneva was charged with a felony count of assault after a stabbing at a residence in Phelps.
Deputies say Rivera stabbed the victim, who was not identified in the release, multiple times in the upper body.
Rivera then fled the scene- and the victim was transported to Clifton Springs Hospital before being transferred to Strong Memorial.
Rivera was held on no bail due to two previous convictions and is scheduled to appear in local court at a later date.
