More charges filed against teens after shooting gel projectiles in Penn Yan

Police say they arrested multiple teens following a gel projectile attack.

According to a news release, the Penn Yan Police Department arrested two more teenagers following an investigation that occurred on March 26 involving five children.

It is alleged that the two offenders drove up to children walking on Clinton Street and began shooting gel projectiles from a splatter gun. The teenagers then exited the vehicle and began chasing the children while continuing to shoot at them. The children’s ages ranged from 14 to 15 years old and four of them were struck by the projectiles.

The teenagers were arraigned and will appear in Penn Yan Village Court at a later date.
