The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office says that on April 9 around 10:15 a.m. deputies responded to a serious crash on Route 89 in Ovid.
Initial reports indicated the occupants were entrapped in the flipped vehicle with one male passenger who was unresponsive.
Upon arrival, one person was found unresponsive with others inside the vehicle. Deputies began live saving measures until South Seneca and Trumansburg Ambulance arrived.
The driver, identified as Tyler Huff, 21, of Ovid reported minor injuries and was checked over at the scene.
Another person in the vehicle, was airlifted to Strong Memorial Hospital. Deputies say that person is listed in guarded critical condition, according to a press release.
The crash investigation remains active.
Deputies said they were assisted by New York State Police, New York State Park Police, South Seneca Ambulance, Trumansburg Ambulance, Lifenet, Ovid Fire Department, Interlaken Fire Department, and Lodi Fire Department.
