The Artworks Gallery will hold a Colored Pencil Drawing and Painting Workshops on Fridays for six weeks starting April 29 through May 27 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Gallery located at 109 Fall Street in downtown Seneca Falls.
Workshop instructor Roberta Nelson explains, colored pencils can be used as a drawing medium or to create beautiful painterly effects. This class is a six weeks series for those who would like to start colored pencil work or those who would just like to refresh or enhance their skills. Areas of study include drawing techniques, overlaying colors, glazing, blending, burnishing, and use of colorless blenders and Gamsol Orderless Mineral Spirits.

Participants need to bring drawing paper or pad, set of Prismacolor colored pencils that include white, grey, and black, and an eraser. Information packets and other materials as the class proceeds will be provided.
