Officials are investigating the cause of a 911 outage that impacted centers in Seneca and Yates counties this week.
The outage impacted Motorola and Frontier Communications, and resulted in 911 lines in both counties to shut down for more than an hour.
The outage began a little before 8 a.m. on Thursday. While service was restored by 9 a.m. – the issue caused concern for many residents and officials.
