The Syracuse Crunch bounced back from Wednesday’s loss with a 5-3 victory over the Springfield Thunderbirds on Friday night at Upstate Medical University Arena.
Riley Nash scored twice for Syracuse while Sean Day, Anthony Richard and Gage Goncalves also found the back of the net. Max Lagace turned aside 20-of-23 shots.
Brady Lyle, Tommy Cross and Nathan Todd tallied for Springfield while Joel Hofer stopped 32-of-36 shots.
Syracuse finished 1-for-4 on the power play and 1-for-3 on the penalty kill.
The Crunch will host the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins on Saturday night at 7 p.m.
