Tax rebates have been sent out to residents of Idaho.
Direct deposits will be going out first.
Fourth Stimulus Check: $400 payments for gas possible
When will I get the refund?
Full-time residents of Idaho and filed taxes in 2020 and 2021 will be getting a refund. They will get $75 for each taxpayer and dependent or 12% of their 2020 taxes, which ever is larger. The check will come from the Idaho State Tax Commission. Read more about it here.
The rebates are being issued in the order that their state 2021 tax returns are filed. Taxpayers with direct deposit will see the refund first, followed by those who will get a paper check via mail.
The expectation is that about 25,000 rebate payments will be sent out on a weekly basis. This is in addition to the tax refunds that are being sent out.
There is a program to donate your rebate check back to the state. You can choose where it goes, either public schools, transportation, or parks and recreation. It can be done at tax.idaho.gov/donate.
To check your rebates status go to tax.idaho.gov/rebate.
