Amazon has more than 1.1 million employees in the US. The company increases salaries almost company wide last year and expanded their adult education initiatives.

With Amazon Career Choice, the company will cover the cost of GEDs, Bachelors degrees and English language certifications.

2.Alphabet

Alphabet is the parent company to Google, YouTube, and many other companies. They are one of the biggest and most influential corporations in the country.

They have been praised for their hybrid approach for returning to work. The also have a variety of professional development resources available to employees.

3. Wells Fargo

Wells Fargo invests about $300 million in staff training each year. This includes leadership and career development and tuition reimbursement.

4. JPMorgan Chase & Co.

JPMorgan Chase & Co. boosted the salaries of junior bankers twice last year. They have earned a reputation of being an employee-friendly workplace.

The bank is also prided on its inclusivity. They recently launched a program to hire individuals with autism. They have earned a 100% on the Human Rights Campaign’s Corporate Equality Index for 20 years.

5. Walmart

Walmart is the largest private employer in the United States. They employ over 1.6 million people. Through their ‘Live Better U‘ program, up to 100% of the cost of  education covered at select colleges for associate-level employees.

6. IBM

IBM recently updated their benefits. They expanded PTO, promotions, pay reviews, online tutoring, and “compassionate leave” for parents who are coping with miscarriage or stillbirth.

They have also been a leader in offering hybrid work schedules. The goal is to to create increased flexibility for employees.

7. AT&T

Employees come from AT&T University, a professional development program for employees. The company invests around $2 million into the program each year. The program offers high-level courses and training through Udacity and Coursera partnerships.

8. Bank of America

Bank of America raised their minimum wage to $21 and plans to hit $25 by 2025. The company also good career mobility. They offer mentorships, leadership training, and development resources that are person-led or online.

9. Apple

In order to hire more retail staff, Apple has recently increased salaries and benefits. They also offer a hybrid work schedule, usually only requiring to be in office three days a week.

10. Comcast

Comcast is the parent company of NBC and DreamWorks. They have a reputation for offering great healthcare for employees.

They also have strong internal mentorship programs and tuition assistance.
