Rochester couldn’t get anything going offensively as they had just five hits and went 0-for-9 with runners in scoring position and left nine men on base.

Tres Barrera had two of the teams five hits. Joey Meneses, Richard Urena and Nick Banks also picked up hits in the loss.

Carson Teel, Erasmo Ramirez, Tyler Clippard and Reed Garrett each tossed an inning out of the bullpen. Teel surrendered the only other run, giving up two hits and striking out a pair. Ramirez and Clippard each collected a pair of strike outs in their innings of work. Garrett finished the game for the Wings on the mound, working a clean inning and striking out one.

Aaron Sanchez will get the ball Wednesday night in game two of the six-game series as Rochester looks for its first win of the season. First pitch is scheduled for 6:35 p.m.
