Waterloo Library & Historical Society announces Waterloo Student Artist of the Month

The Waterloo Library & Historical Society is proud to announce Gracie Ferguson as the first Student Artist of the month. Student artists and musicians will be chosen from October through May and be featured throughout the Waterloo Library & Historical Society buildings. Her work will be on display through the month of April.

Gracie is a senior at Waterloo high school and in the new visions medical program. Gracie plans on attending the University of Tennessee, Knoxville for forensic anthropology in the fall. She enjoys painting, drawing, quilting, knitting, baking and creating what inspires her at the moment. Gracie also enjoys ballet dancing and will be performing as Gretel in the Hansel and Gretel ballet April 23rd and 24th at the Ohmann theater in Lyons.

To honor her achievement the Waterloo Library & Historical Society will host a gallery night on Wednesday, April 27 from 6-6:30pm. The community and friends are invited to attend.
