UBI: Which Americans will see $36,000 in guaranteed income?

A new UBI program launched in Los Angeles will benefit 1,000 residents with a grand total of $36,000 over three years.

The program is called “Breathe” and the 1,000 residents will be selected at random to receive $1,000 per month for 36 months.

Applications are currently open and will be accepted until April 13, 2022.

There are requirements you’ll need to meet in order to apply.

What are the requirements to qualify for the UBI Breathe Program?

You must be 18 or older and meet a certain income requirement to be eligible.

Your household income if single needs to be at or below 100% of the LA County’s area median income.

If your household has two or more people it must be at or below 120%.

Two checks worth up to $1,200 available this week

It needs to be proven that you were negatively impacted by the pandemic.

You may not be enrolled in any other UBI program.

One person per household can participate in the program.
