Police say two Rochester residents were arrested following a traffic stop.
According to a news release, State Police arrested Shawn Davis, 43 and Shay Pearson, 41 both of Rochester for criminal possession of a weapon.
The traffic stop was initiated when troopers stopped a motorist for traveling at 83 mph in a 55 mph speed zone on State Route 104. The operator, Davis, was found to be in possession of a loaded .22 caliber and was additionally charged with DWI and speeding. The passenger was identified as Pearson, who was also found in possession of an illegal weapon.
Davis and Pearson were transported to the Monroe County Jail where they are pending arraignment.
