Police arrest a Chemung County man following a response to a call regarding a man in a suspicious vehicle.
According to a news release, State Police in Horseheads arrested Larry Hauber, 41, of Southport for driving while intoxicated.
Troopers identified the man slumped over in the vehicle as Hauber and detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on him along with other signs of intoxication. He refused to submit to any standardized field sobriety testing.
Hauber was taken into custody and will return to the Town of Southport Court at a later date to answer charges.
