For the past two years, 40 social service agencies in Yates County have been working together to help children and families through the YatesINSYGHT program.
INSYGHT stands for “Inclusive Network Supporting Youth and Families Towards Growth, Health and Teamwork.” Program Manager Andrea Paul says YatesINSYGHT began with a grant application after the realization there were gaps in the services available to Yates County families.
Yates County was awarded a four year federal grant from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) to provide services using the New York state System of Care (SOC) framework. Now, Paul says parents facing problems with their kids know where to start in finding help.
YatesINSYGHT is seeking additional partners to help coordinate services throughout the county. Listen to my full Inside the FLX conversation with Andrea Paul below.
