Police say a Rochester man was arrested following a traffic violation in the city.
According to a news release, State Police out of Rochester arrested Michael Townsend, 32, of Rochester for criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of a controlled substance.
State Police stopped Townsend after seeing loaded handguns in plain view. A traffic stop was initiated and in further search of the vehicle, cocaine, pills, and marijuana were found.
Townsend was transported to Monroe County Jail where he is pending arraignment.
