2020 and 2021 has major extension given by the IRS due to the pandemic, but that is not the case for 2022.

The deadline for most states will be April 18, 2022.

Maine and Massachusetts have until April 19 to file their returns due to Patriot’s Day.

Winter storm victims in Tennessee, Illinois and Kentucky or wildfire victims in Colorado have until May 16, 2022.

You can file for an extension by April 18 and have until 17, 2022.
