Two Yates County communities and one business have been awarded grants by the Yates County Legislature to protect natural resources and enhance recreational opportunities.
The county launched its Natural & Recreational Resources Grant program in 2018, using money from the hotel occupancy tax. Yates County Administrator Nonie Flynn tells us how the money’s being spent this year.
Grant applications for the program are available from the county Planning Department.
