Pursuit of stolen vehicle leads to arrest of Syracuse man

Police arrest a Syracuse man following report of a stolen vehicle.

According to a news release, the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office arrested Chad M. Chapman, 36, of Syracuse for criminal possession of stolen property, aggravated unlicensed operation, failure to keep right, failure to use designated lane, failure to stop at a stop sign, failure to make a safe turn, and failure to obey a police officer.


The pursuit of the stolen vehicle began in Tompkins County. Once they entered Seneca County, police were able to use stop sticks to puncture the tires of the stolen vehicle, eventually stopping Chapman.

Chapman was taken into custody and is pending arraignment.
