Ithaca’s famous Moosewood Restaurant back with new owner, updated menu

Moosewood Restaurant in Ithaca has reopened under new ownership with a fresh seasonal menu.

The 215 N Cayuga St. restaurant was started by a group of friends in 1973. The mission has always remained the same: serve great vegetarian and vegan food. New owner Danica Wilcox, whose mother was among the friends who started the business, is continuing that legacy with a new, contemporary menu.

On March 10, seventeen of the nineteen remaining Moosewood collective original owners dined at the restaurant to celebrate opening night, according to Ithaca Journal.

The Moosewood Restaurant is open Wednesday through Sunday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. You can find the full seasonal menu offerings on the restaurant’s website.
