The future of the Greater Southern Tier BOCES capital improvement project will be put to a vote by local residents on March 22, 2022.
The “no additional tax impact” improvement project will be fully-funded by “leveraging New York State Building Aid, managing debt service payments, and reallocating existing funds,” according to a GST BOCES press release.
Planned upgrades include replacing items that have failed or are substandard and organization-wide improvements like replacing natural gas piping, water piping, underground electric, and network fiber. GST BOCES Wildwood and Coopers Plain campuses will have their sewer lines replaced and new gymnasium/auditorium spaces added for both sites.
The vote will be held on Tuesday, March 22 from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the following locations:
GST BOCES Bush Campus at 459 Philo Road, Elmira, NY 14903) in Building #1
Coopers Plains Campus at 9579 Vocational Drive, Painted Post, NY 14870 in Building #8
Wildwood Campus at 1126 Bald Hill Road, Hornell, NY 14843 in Building #1
Request an absentee ballot by contacting the office of the Board Clerk at (607) 654-2283 or emailing [email protected]. All GST BOCES region residents are encouraged to vote.
