The RIT men’s hockey season came to an end on Friday night with a 4-3 loss to Air Force in the Atlantic Hockey Semifinals at the Adirondack Bank Center in Utica, New York.
Air Force never trailed and every time RIT scored to tie the game, they quickly responded.
Aiden Hansen-Bukata, Dan Willet and Grady Hobbs netted goals for the Tigers.
Tommy Scarfone turned aside 22-of-26 shots in the loss.
RIT finished 1-for-2 on the power play and 1-for-2 on the penalty kill.
Brandon Koch scored twice for the Falcons while Will Gavin and Andrew DeCarlo also tallied.
Alex Schilling stopped 24-of-27 shots to earn the victory.
Air Force advances to play for the conference championship on Saturday at 7:05 p.m. with a berth in the NCAA Tournament on the line.
