Police say a Penn Yan resident was charged following a traffic stop in the village.
According to a news release, the Penn Yan Police Department arrested Jerimias Delacerda, 28, of Penn Yan on a warrant.
Delacerda was initially stopped for a traffic violation when police discovered that he had an active warrant out of Texas for violating parole. A DMV check also revealed that his operating privileges were suspended in the State of New York for failure to appear.
Delacerda was remanded to the Yates County Jail.
