It is with much excitement that New Roots Charter School and the Grassroots Festival announce Rootstock 2022.
After a very successful first Rootstock in 2019, our efforts were thwarted in 2020 and 2021 by the pandemic but we are thrilled to be emerging from this difficult period with a return to live music and celebration of youth.
Rootstock is a youth music celebration and will be held on Sunday, May 22nd, 2022 from 11am – 8pm at the Bernie Milton Pavilion in Downtown Ithaca.
Performer applications can be found on the Rootstock website (newrootsschool.org/rootstock) and are open until April 15th to youth musicians, dancers, singers, and performers ages 13-21.
Rootstock 2022 will once again host the Youth Entrepreneurship Market (YEM) (yemithaca.com) and will feature youth vendors who have participated in a series of entrepreneurship workshops with mentorship from local entrepreneurs to help guide the launch of their businesses into our community.
