Police say a Fairport man was arrested following investigation into a traffic stop that occurred in October 2021.
According to a news release, the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office arrested Nicholas J. Mitrano, 22, of Fairport for criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Deputies conducted a traffic stop that led to a vehicle search due to drug paraphernalia being observed in plain sight. Mitrano was a passenger in the vehicle and was found to be in possession of several bags of suspected cocaine. He was released on scene pending the toxicological analysis of the suspected drug. Mitrano was later contacted by deputies upon the confirmation of the substance.
