Cayuga Community College (CCC) received $108,500 in funding as part of New York State Governor Kathy Hochul’s plan to support child care facilities on State University of New York (SUNY) campuses.
CCC spokesman Andrew Poole confirmed the college’s child care center received the funds, which were used to hire and train additional staff.

“We appreciate New York Gov. Kathy Hochul’s support for the Cayuga Community College Child Care Center, and the acknowledgment of how important child care needs are across the state,” said CCC President Brian Durant, according to The Citizen. “Our child care center is an important resource we are proud to offer our community, and the additional support announced (Friday) will help us continue enhancing the services we offer.”
