The New York Yankees announced Sunday that they have signed outfielder Tim Locastro to a one-year Major League contract.
The Boston Red Sox non-tendered the 29-year-old Auburn native on November 30. Boston had claimed him off waivers after the Yankees had designated him for assignment.
Locastro played nine games with the Yankees last year before tearing his ACL in July. The team had acquired him from the Diamondbacks three weeks prior.
The Yankees 40-man roster is now full, but more moves are expected.
