The New York Mets have reportedly agreed to a one-year contract with right-handed reliever Adam Ottavino, according to Joel Sherman of The New York Post.
The Mets have not confirmed the deal, which is pending a physical.
Ottavino, 36, was 7-3 with a 4.21 ERA over 69 games with the Red Sox last season.
Ottavino will join Edwin Díaz, Seth Lugo and Trevor May at the back of New York’s bullpen. Since 2018, Ottavino has averaged 11.9 strikeouts per nine innings while producing a 3.05 ERA for the Rockies, Yankees and Red Sox.
