Major League Baseball released the new 2022 spring training schedule on Friday.
The New York Yankees will play a total of 18 games in 19 days between Saturday, March 19 and Tuesday, April 5.
The New York Mets will play a total of 15 games in 18 days between Saturday, March 19 and Tuesday, April 5.
Since this year’s spring training schedule has been so condensed, the Yankees and Mets will only play teams in their surrounding areas to avoid long-distance travel.
The Yankees will play the Philadelphia Phillies (Clearwater), Toronto Blue Jays (Dunedin), Pittsburgh Pirates (Bradenton), Baltimore Orioles (Sarasota) and the Detroit Tigers (Lakeland).
The Mets will play the Washington Nationals (West Palm Beach), St. Louis Cardinals (Jupiter), Miami Marlins (Jupiter) and Houston Astros (West Palm Beach).
Game times and broadcast info will be announced in the next day or two.
