The town of Geneva is undertaking a property reassessment for the 2023 tax year.
Geneva Supervisor Mark Venuti says the Town Assessor will get some help from Sylvia Staples, who recently retired from the Ontario County Real Property Tax office and now assists communities with reassessment on a part-time hourly basis.
The town has also hired Mary Van De Moortel to the Board of Assessment Review to hear taxpayer appeals. She’ll serve out the term of Michael Osborne, who retired.
