The Syracuse Orange women’s lacrosse team (6-1, 3-0 ACC) defeated the Virginia Cavaliers (4-5, 0-3 ACC), 17-11, on Saturday afternoon at Klockner Stadium.
Syracuse controlled the game from the opening face-0ff as they led after every quarter and outscored Virginia in every quarter but the third.
Meaghan Tyrell scored a game-high five goals to lead the Orange. Megan Carney and Emma Tyrrell also recorded hat tricks in the win.
