The prizes have been awarded in the village of Newark’s annual snow sculpture contest.
Mayor Jonathan Taylor presented the $100 first prize in the residential category to Michelle Werner. It was her son’s idea, a snowman on the beach with a shark in the water.
The prize for best business snow sculpture went to the members of Newark-Arcadia Volunteer Ambulance for a sculpture of the EMS Star of Life.
