The City of Hornell gears up for this weekend’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade after two years of cancellations due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Hornell’s 33rd St. Patrick’s Day Parade will be held on Saturday, March 12 at 11 a.m. despite the snow forecasted for that day, according to The Evening Tribune. The event was scrapped for 2020 and 2021 due to New York’s restrictions on large gatherings.
The Hornell St. Patrick’s Day Parade is unique in that it does not have an organizing committee or sponsors- all groups need to do is show up to take part. Those planning to march should arrive to the Buffalo and Allen streets area at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday.
