Starting on Saturday, March 12, the Geneva Community Center gym will host a new program hours for the community’s youngest children.
The “First 1,000 Days” program will host regular hours every Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. featuring an open gym, new toys and jump houses, a pancake breakfast, coffee for parents, and take-home materials for kids, according to Finger Lakes Times. Additionally, parents can take home free diapers, groceries, and other child care supplies.
The program was established in February with expanded hours effective this weekend. The Geneva Community Center is also adding six new washer and dryers for parents to do laundry while children play and a new counseling center with services available by appointment.
Families can join the program by filing out a quick registration form during business hours at the 160 Carter St. Community Center. Registration is also available during Saturday’s program.
