Two Cornell players earn spots on All-ECAC Hockey teams

Two more Cornell players earned spots on the All-ECAC Hockey teams on Thursday.

Junior defenseman Sam Malinski claimed a spot on the All-ECAC Hockey first team. Malinski ranked second among all league blueliners in scoring this season with 17 points on three goals and 14 assists in 22 games. He is also a finalist for ECAC Hockey Best Defensive Defenseman and was named to the All-Ivy League first team earlier this week.

Junior forward Matt Stienburg claimed a spot in the All-ECAC Hockey second team. Stienburg is one of just five skaters to average better than a point per game through the league slate, posting 23 points on 10 goals and 13 assists in 20 contests. He also earned All-Ivy League honorable mention earlier this week.

Cornell hosts a best-of-three ECAC Hockey Championship quarterfinal series this weekend against Colgate at Lynah Rink.
