Newfield’s Old Home Days Committee is looking for new volunteers ahead of its annual celebration planned for July 29 and 30, 2022.
This year’s theme for the Old Home Days celebration is “music in motion,” which was chosen to honor late Newfield Central School music teacher Vincent “Vince” Aiosa, according to Tompkins Weekly.
July’s Old Home Days celebration will mark its 101th year and the first since the COVID-19 pandemic began. The committee is seeking volunteers to coordinate events and collect donations.
The committee is planning a spaghetti dinner fundraiser with a date TBD. The Town of Newfield Recreation Department will also hold a chicken barbecue ahead of the event. All proceeds will go towards fundraising for Old Home Days.
