The New York State Attorney General Letitia James issued a warning for potential price gouging as the U.S. bans imports of Russian oil, coal, and natural gas.
AG James says New Yorkers should be prepared for gas prices to continue to rise, though the state does have laws in place that prohibit exorbitant price increases on necessities, according to News10 NBC.
If consumers do notice dramatic increases in the price of gasoline or fuel, they can report it to the Office of the Attorney General here.
