The Notre Dame Retreat House in Canandaigua is slated to close next year.
The facility confirmed the closure is due to financial stress and lack of Redemptorist priests on staff, according to News10 NBC.
The Redemptorists, also known as the Congregation of the Most Holy Redeemer, are a missionary group within the Catholic Church. The Notre Dame Retreat House has been open 1967 and offers retreats to men, women, and couples.
The house will continue with events planned for the rest of 2022 but will close its doors by August 1, 2023.
