Four Cornell men’s hockey players received All-Ivy League honors on Wednesday morning.
Junior defenseman Sam Malinski was selected to the first team. He recorded eight points across the Big Red’s 10 Ivy League games, including seven assists and a goal in Cornell’s contest at Harvard on November 5.
Senior forward Kyle Betts was named to the second team. He tallied eight assists over the Big Red’s 10 Ivy contests, which was tied for most in the league during that span.
Junior forward Matt Stienburg and freshman goaltender Ian Shane each earned All-Ivy honorable mention. Stienburg posted eight points on four goals and four assists in nine Ivy games. Shane finished with a 2-2-2 record over six games, collecting a shutout and posting a 1.64 goals against average that was second-lowest in the league.
Cornell hosts a best-of-three ECAC Hockey Championship quarterfinal series this weekend against Colgate at Lynah Rink.
