National Women’s Day: Spotlight on local business owned by women

March 8th is National Women’s Day and in honor of that we’d like to shine some like only local women owned businesses. We reached out to women from a few different businesses and this is what they had to say.

The first business were showcasing is 828 Jewels owned by Krystal Romps. Krystal creates beautiful jewelry pieces by hand. Each pieces is more eye catching than the next.

“My jewelry business started very part-time in 2015 in the beautiful mountains of Asheville NC, area code 828. After 21 years of living in the south, I returned to my hometown Phelps in June 2021 and shortly there after went full-time with my business when I was accepted as a vendor at the Windmill Farm & Craft Market in Penn Yan.
Not only can you find me at the Windmill Market on Saturday’s but I also do home jewelry & fairy hair parties, as well as livestream shopping events on my website and social media platforms.”

I had the opportunity  of spending an evening at one of Krystal’s parties and it was such a warm and welcoming environment. She takes the time to explain any piece you point out to her.
