The Syracuse women’s lacrosse team (5-1) rallied from a seven-goal deficit to hand Duke (6-1) their first loss of the season on Sunday afternoon at the Carrier Dome.
The Orange trailed 9-2 early, but fought their way back to earn a 18-16 victory.
Meaghan Tyrrell and Megan Carney each netted five goals to lead Syracuse. Sam Swart, Emma Tyrrell and Emily Hawryschuk finished with multi-goal games in the win.
