Sabres blanked by Kings, 3-0

The Buffalo Sabres couldn’t generate any offense on Sunday afternoon as they were blanked by the Los Angeles Kings, 3-0, at KeyBank Center.

Andres Anthanasiou scored twice for the Kings while Dustin Brown also netted a goal. Two of the three tallies came in the final minute of the game when Buffalo pulled their goaltender for the extra attacker.

Cal Petersen made 19 saves to earn the shutout.

Both teams finished 0-for-1 on the power play.

Dustin Tokarski stopped 29-of-30 shots in the loss.

The Sabres continue their five-game homestand on Monday night when they host the Florida Panthers. Face-off is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
