Police say they are investigating an overnight shooting that happened in the city of Geneva on Linden Street.
A male victim was taken by private vehicle to Geneva General Hospital with a gunshot wound to the upper body. The victim was then transported to Strong Memorial Hospital for additional treatment.
Prior to the shooting there was a disturbance at the Hog Wallow Tavern. Police believe this was not a random act of violence, and that there is no cause for public alarm.
Police believe the shooting itself took place around 2 a.m. on Sunday.
