Deputies: Serious three-car crash in Bloomfield

The Ontario County Sheriff’s office reports the investigation of a multi-vehicle crash that happened on State Route 5 and Cannan Road in East Bloomfield.

On Saturday around 11:45 a.m. deputies, East Bloomfield firefighters, and ambulance personnel responded to the intersection for a three-car crash.


According to a news release, Rejoinder Singh, 43, of Spring Valley, Ohio failed to yield the right of way at the stop sign. While crossing his vehicle was struck by another one traveling east on Route 5. Deputies said that vehicle was operated by Joshua Hanbach, 26, of Caledonia. The operator of the third vehicle, identified as Erin Taverna, 45, of Bloomfield was stopped at the intersection and was struck by Singh’s vehicle causing it to go backwards and collide with a tree.

She was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital with face and shoulder injuries. Singh was ticketed of failing to yield the right of way.

Airbags deployed in all of the vehicles.
